EPUB works with Amazon’s free “Send to Kindle”
Bought the eBook here? Perfect. Your download includes an EPUB file that can be sent to any Kindle device or Kindle app in a minute or two using Amazon’s free Send to Kindle.
Option A — iPhone/iPad & Android (fastest)
Delivery usually takes under a minute once your Kindle is online.
Option B — Web uploader (computer or mobile)
Tip: If you don’t see it yet, tap the three dots on your Kindle and choose Sync.
Option C — Email your EPUB to your Kindle
If it doesn’t arrive, add your sending email to the “Approved Personal Document E-mail List” in the same Amazon settings screen.
What formats work?
- EPUB — fully supported by Send to Kindle (no conversion needed).
- PDF — can be sent too, but formatting is fixed like a print page.
*You can also type the word Convert in the email subject to ask Amazon to reflow certain files. Not required for EPUB.

How long does delivery take?
Usually under a minute. Make sure the Kindle app/device is connected to the internet and then tap Sync.
I sent it but nothing shows up.
- Confirm you used the correct Send-to-Kindle email for that device/app.
- In Manage Your Content & Devices → Preferences, add your sending email to the Approved list.
- Open the Kindle app/device and choose Sync.
Can I read on phone, tablet, and computer?
Yes—Send to Kindle can deliver the EPUB to any Kindle app (iOS, Android, Mac/PC) and most Kindle e-readers.
Is my file safe/private?
Send to Kindle is an Amazon service. Files are delivered to your account and devices; we don’t have access to your Kindle library.
